How did I get into photography?

I fell in love with photography shortly after my father died. I was eleven years old, and my world had turned upside down… and here was this tool with the ability to capture moments and keep them forever, a power I wished I’d had when my dad was alive.

As I’ve gotten older and continued to work as a photographer, I’ve realized that while I still love that power, what I love most is connecting with people.

Understanding who someone is and what makes them beautiful drives me to create images that help them feel seen in a world that doesn’t always make room for them. A photograph can be so impactful in someone’s life, and I’m deeply grateful that my work can hopefully make that impact.
